Sarasota Police Foundation (SPF) works with private donors, foundations and businesses to support the equipment, training, wellness and outreach efforts of the Sarasota Police Department.
We focus on raising funds from various community sources to enable the SPD to achieve specific objectives that either may not be budgeted for or that may benefit from augmented funding. Initiatives may include special equipment purchases, enhanced training, officer safety and youth outreach programs. The SPF does not fund personnel, regular police vehicles, or lethal weapons.
All purchases for and grants to the Sarasota Police Department by the Sarasota Police Foundation are pre-approved by the Sarasota City Manager.
